Located in the north-west part of the Americas, and in a number of respects, Alaska, due to its mountainous nature and the harshness of its climate, is deemed unfit for human life, while the southern side is opened to the Pacific, thanks to its strategic importance and local income sources (especially oil). It is the most populous region of the Arctic, but also the most attractive region.
